Take to the Road

Listen to the engine purr,
all that disturbs the silence.
See the bright lights glimmering,
beacons providing guidance.

I drive alone, late at night,
as most travelers prefer.
Lean back upon soft leather,
listen to the engine purr.

Cruising down an endless road
with majestic views, priceless.
A contented sigh escapes,
all that disturbs the silence

Traversing many cities,
each of them bewildering.
Even in the dark of night,
see the bright lights glimmering.

Never do I lose my way,
no map has my reliance.
Let the road decide my fate,
beacons providing guidance.
