False Reflection

I look at you and there I see

a fat and ugly nobody.

An internal rant;

“Insignificant,

Transparent.”

But you’re me.

                                                    Behind the glass I scream and shout,

                                                       But ignored by you, stand and pout.

                                                                        “Can’t you see what’s real?

                                                                        Please let me reveal,

                     you’re ideal,

   there’s no doubt.”

The shiny, silver, mirror lies.

You see yourself in a disguise.

But do not be fooled,

or be by it ruled.

Be schooled

and be wise.
